Tips for Choosing Wedding Reception Venues

The fun of your engagement can sometimes be lost within all the stress of planning for your wedding. There are several things to think about that range from flowers and dresses to wedding reception venues. For some brides, a wedding represents a fulfillment of all their hopes and dreams, and for others it’s just another big day with a whole lot of organization surrounding it.

No matter where you stand, one thing’s for certain and it’s that there’s a whole lot of planning to be made. You need to find places and items that suit your style and tastes, the price and the needs of everyone contributing. Before you can even begin, you need to be well organized inside your head and plan when to do what or your reception won’t be as spectacular as you hoped it would be. The best way to get your way is to write everything down and be as detailed as necessary.

High up on the list is where you plan to hold your wedding reception venue where you will celebrate with your friends and family after the ceremony. This is where the bride and groom can finally feel like they can relax and enjoy the company of their guests and the most special people in their lives. To do that, you need to select the right venue that can hold all of your guests and provide the right atmosphere. You may also like to consider both an indoor and outdoor venue with a garden for those who would like to sit outside.

If you have a favourite spot that you would love to have the wedding reception, such as a park where you had your first date, or at home where your roots are, then consider renting a pavilion. A pavilion can also be used to increase the size of your venue. If you plan to change out of your dress before arriving at the party, you may want to find out if the venue has a facility or private room where you can do that. You may also want to book a hotel to accommodate your guests, depending on whether you have anyone arriving from out of town.

As a general rule, you may like to book as far in advance as possible; especially during warmer seasons as some of the most popular establishments can be booked for a year or more in advance. If you want to be married sooner rather than later, consider holding your reception on a Friday. Some venues are often willing to negotiate prices for off peak days too.

There is also a stunning new pavilion in the market called the Bedouin Tent. It’s centuries old but it has been modernized to create an impressive alternative to the traditional canopy.
